A:Answer LESS THAN 4 MONTHS OLD & IM ALREADY REGRETTING NOT GETTING THAT PIXEL BOOK
Yeah this laptop has given me nothing but problems. I've had to oobe reset it THREE TIMES since November. A week ago I heard a strange crackling pop noise come from my desk and could smell melted plastic. I shut down my surge protector and searched every inch of cable for every electronic device I own (a lot) and never could locate visual conf that something shorted out. However the IdeaPad smelled the strongest of friend circutry and 2 days later I woke up to horrid shrieking noise coming from the same vicinity...for 48 hours the high pitched, shrill squealing sound alluded me but refused to respond to any commands, not even the infamous Novo button (which isn't a button at all anymore, but a tiny spec of a pinhole with nothing more than a smudged hieroglyph sloppily stamped just enough closer to a different pinhole to confuse the user) until I just manually overrided the system and off booted the laptop. Finally the noise stopped. And of course there is nothing anywhere to indicate how to fix this problem except a forgotten whisper of a Lenovo Help Community post from 6 years ago, which NOT A SINGLE PERSON REPLIED TO, DEFINITELY NO ONE FROM LENOVO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED HIS PROBELM!
