Be sure to put the batteries included in both the mouse and keyboard. Inside the battery compartment of the mouse, there is a USB receiver. Take that out and plug it into a USB port on the device (anyone, it doesn't matter which USB port). Turn on the mouse and keyboard. You should be able to use the keyboard and mouse now.

I don't remember the procedure but it was included with the literature that came with the computer. Failing that, and assuming that you have access to another computer, the procedure can be found online. As I recall it wasn't very complicated. You didn't lose the USB dongle that came with your computer, did you? You'll of course need that for things to work.

Please ensure that you have good batteries in the mouse and keyboard. The devices should work when in the On position automatically as the drivers for these two items come pre installed in this computer. Hope this helps.
