It's almost impossible to return to Windows 8.1 or 7 with any Windows 10 machine. As with anything in technology, it's about going up, not going down. Manufacturers make it impossible now to take a new machine, re-engineer it, and then allow all the parts to work right. If you were able to re-engineer this model, the sound, video and wireless capabilities may not work at all, leaving you with no software or abilities to properly use the machine. Sorry, that's the computer industry standard (that's if there is one).
