Yes, the keyboard is disabled when the device is in tablet mode. Once the screen reaches 183-degrees, the keyboard and touchpad turn off automatically. Neither the keyboard nor the touchpad will work in tablet mode.

For instance if you open it and lay it flat on the table, meaning the screen is at the top, keyboard at the bottom then the keyboard still operates the screen or you can use the touch screen if it has touchscreen capabilities. if you fold the screen all the way back so the keyboard is behind the screen then the keyboard doesn't operate the screen. The mouse I haven't tried. So I can't help you on that.
