• The HDMI cord will carry the audio signal as well.

• Yes it does, you can plug into any HDTV HDMI socket and use it as a monitor.

• The HDMI-Out port on this system carries both HD video and HD audio.

• HDMI is capable of Carrying video and audio, however, if you have your monitor connected with HDMI but do not have speakers or headphones attached then you would only have video.
