• Yes, it does. I have been using just a cheapy "Capacitive Stylus" Pen that was labeled as "Safe for All Touch Screen Tablets & Cell Phones". I use the same pens on my Kindle Fire and on my Samsung Note 5.

• No. The touchscreen on this model is not compatible with any active/digital pen. Obviously, you can use your finger to draw on the screen or a non-active/non-digital stylus to replace your finger on the screen and draw with that.
