“i do a lot of photo and video editting, would this model sufficient for that purpose or is there another model/brand that would work better? or is it just a matter of upgrading something (ie: adtl ram? diff video card? , etc) ?”

It can do photo/ video editing, but it is not the best choice for that purpose. Video speed is not that good.
