“Pre-Installed or With Card Hi! I bought this laptop pre-owned from Best Buy. It didn't come with the Microsoft Office card, but it still allowed me to activate it from a start menu shortcut. Do I have to worry about the laptop not having a MS Office card? Thanks.”

I bought it brand new and didn't have any Microsoft card either, just activated from the start menu as well. so no need to worry.

The short answer is no. The long answer is the activation is built into the system. You should have one year from the time of activation until you have to worry about it again. BTW, I bought mine new and it didn't come with a card. Besides, Best Buy always has you covered.

Mine did not come with a card either. I am not sure what card you are referencing. It is all done online like you did.
