“How do you save eMMC flash storage? I have read about several laptops that use the eMMC memory. I even bought one and returned it because the memory decreased very quickly. I ran disk cleanup and cleaned my browser history but the storage still decreased, 3.4 GB in two days. I even went into settings and tried to delete temporary files/cache and it refused to. A 32GB eMMC had about 12 or 13 GB remaining once it was up and running. So, is it possible to keep that 12 or 13 GB free? Can you divert temporary files/cache to be stored elsewhere than on the laptop itself? What happens when the eMMC storage is completely used up? PS: I'm not a tech person, so I apologize if my question is easily answered?”

Use the micro SD port to add storage. I currently use a 64G micro SD card. Plus, you have the ability to change out and place another mirco SD card into the slot. Store items on the micro SD rather than the internal memory.

If this is your primary computer die to budget restrictions. .. your going to have to learn some to keep it functional due to hdd limitations. Barring that for another $100 over this units price you can get a unit w 1tb hdd about 300× the storage. I love my little lenova... I just know and work w its limitations... but I'm a 58 year old programmer that knows more about tech than most

Usually I save all my documents and files there and it doesn't slow the computer down because nothing is getting saved on the main memory itself. Believe you can divert the files but that gets complicated. Hope I helped.

Please try again later.This computer comes with only 32 GB of storage, about half of that is taken up by the OS. this gives you arouund 15 gigs for personal use. 1-Uninstal any exess programs, if you got a different browser, uninstall edge 2-Run disk cleanup, this usually gets you a bit of extra space by deleting things like temporary files (extra unneeded stuff for computer programs) 3-Get external memory, I use an 8 GB Kingston 101 G2 USB flash drive, other things like SD cards work as well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had this exact problem with my hp, go ahead and delete unused apps, old files, preform disk cleanup often as well as delete temp files. And get external storage like usb drives and sd storage cards, I have a 32gig one and a couple of usb drives that have helped.
