Absolutely. My son uses his to stream YouTube and other videos to any of our 3 Chromecast devices and a smart TV with casting "built-in". Our only downfall being an incredibly slow DSL internet connection as a result of living in the country. He also occasionally uses Chromecast to do his schoolwork instead of connecting the HDMI port.
