Personally I would uninstall all the bloatware for her, all the stuff on the front screen that's actively running like shopping apps, etc. I pretty much uninstalled all the pre-loaded apps, not necessary. I also put a stop to the auto updates on Windows 10, then should be fine for games and surfing.

If she wanted a more lively game to play, I would probably choose a more expensive laptop with an i5 or i7 or AMD processor. For simple games, it will move and act well for her.
