Hey MarlaM, Windows 11 system requirements list a minimum storage amount, but no official recommendations for storage size (visit this webpage for reference: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications#table5). While some may recommend a higher storage capacity to have room for local storage of large file sizes or file quantities, but 256GB is sufficient for most users, even with recent technology advancements. For example, the new Copilot+ PCs that are built for AI, the most powerful Windows PCs to date, has a system requirement of 256GB of storage or higher, just like this IdeaPad Slim 3x. We don't believe you should be concerned unless you have very specific storage needs and may need to storage a larger quantity of large files like high resolution videos or PowerPoint presentations. Also, Best Buy does not currently offer a larger storage option for this model, so you would have to seek elsewhere. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
