- A:Answer I connected it wirelessly with the HP 4500 for printing using the windows 10 set up, but I had to use the HP printer assistant to get the scanner to talk to the idea pad so I could hit scan on the printer and it would find the new laptop.

You do not need to use the McAfee virus protection. You can uninstall McAfee and install any 3rd. party virus protection you choose or turn on Windows Defender software.
