- Answer Your device will still work, as will all the apps that don't require the latest OS update. For example, older phones often go unsupported after a number of years and a message will popup saying that the latest update is unsupported by your hardware. Eventually, developers will update their apps and will require a newer version of OS and will either stop working, or simply won't update (this often depends on the app developer). Honestly, it's in the developers best interest to allow apps to run on older OS's to broaden their customer base as many people use older tech. It is likely most of your apps will run for years after Google stops supporting this particular Chromebook.

QuestionI get this Chromebook yesterday. I think the quality of the screen is not as good as IPS standard. It looks more like a TN panel rather than an IPS panel because the screen become darker depending on view angle. Does this model really uses an IPS?

- Answer No. The Lenovo S340-14 Chromebook is a traditional laptop format. The screen does no have 360-degree hinges, it can not be used to tablet mode.

QuestionThe "expert reviews" of the s340 aren't even the same chromebook s340 specs. Looking around, I wasn't able to find anything on a s340 with touch-screen. This leaves only comments here which have not covered touch-screen in-depth. How is the touch-screen?

- Answer Yes. The Lenovo S340-14 Chromebook has video out capability to connect an external monitor through a USB-c video out connection. Of course, the S340-14 Chromebook has its own screen, but you can add an additional screen if you choose.

- Answer I bought it for my 85 year old dad who not only had never used a computer but is ridiculously impatient. He doesn't do much more than play games on it. But buying the touch screen was the smartest electronic decision I've made in a while...lol. Seriously, it is easy to set up and use. (Oh you will have to set her up with a Gmail account and it took forever for my dad to choose a password he could remember. (Suggestion: birth month and year....LOL). It is very lightweight and still sturdy.
