QuestionThe specs say that the clock doesn't make phone calls? If my phone is in another room, can I use the clock (via google) to make a call and speak to the person like a regular phone call? How far away can the phone be for the features on the clock to work?

- Answer Hello, thanks for your question. The Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant model # ZA4R0002US is able to make outgoing calls. You can say something along the lines of "Okay Google Call 555-555-5555, or by saying the name of your contact saved in your Google Account. This is done through WIFI and is independent of your cell phone meaning it doesn't matter where your cell phone is in relation the the Smart Clock. If you have lost your phone you can say. "Okay google find my phone". Your assistant will ring your phone for you so you may locate it. Please note at this time the Smart Clock is not able to receive calls from a phone or from other smart devices.

QuestionIs there a way to completely turn off the display at night if I don't like any light or glow from anything when I sleep?

- Answer Hello, Yes you can! You can adjust how much the display dims in low light or tell it to turn off completely. To do this please swipe up on the screen of your Lenovo Smart Clock. Then select the "settings" gear shaped icon on the right. Last select "Display Settings" You can now further adjust the brightness of the screen to your preference. You can manually turn of the screen at anytime with the voice command "Okay google screen off" or "Screen brightness 0 %"

Yes the Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant features a weather themed clock face that shows the outdoor temperate as well as an animation in the background of the current weather condition. To change clock faces simply press on the center of the screen with your finger for 5 seconds. Then you can swipe left to right to pick your desired clock face theme.

- Answer Hi Kevin, the Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant only displays the outdoor temperature, however, if you have a connected smart thermostat you may ask Google 'What's my temperature inside?" or insert name of specific room if you have multiple sensors.

- Answer Hello, currently there is only one clock face that supports seconds and it is called the "contemporary clock" To enable this clock face press and hold in the center if your current clock face on the display for 2 seconds. - Answer Hey there, great question! A simple and easy way would be to 1. Open your Google Home App on your smartphone or tablet 2. Select "Broadcast" from the home screen. 3. Verbally say what you want to broadcast, for example "time to wake up" 4. You can tell Google to broadcast to a specific room or device that you have setup in the Google Home App 5.Additionally you may use the same process to play music, but in step 2 instead of selecting "Broadcast" select "Media" then "Play Music"

- Answer Hi David. Currently the Lenovo Smart Clock does not support this function as it does not have internal storage. It does however support alarms from YouTube Music, Radio, Pandora, Spotify and more. Setting a music alarm is as easy as saying "Okay Google set a music alarm".

- Answer You can use them at the same time. You can create a speaker group and have them play music together. I have both in pretty close proximity and I have had any problems yet. I don’t think one is more efficient than the other. The mini sounds better for music but that’s about it.

- Answer Hi There! Thank you for your question. The Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant will not function in this way. The clock can verbally tell you the indoor temperature when asked if it is inked with a smart thermostat like the Google Nest.

QuestionMy son who is in college is a type 1 diabetic which I can monitor his sugar level but sometimes it goes so low that I need to call him in the middle of the night. Could I activate the alarm clock from my iPhone?

- Answer No, you would need to be on the same wifi network and could start streaming music, but not activate the alarm clock. If you have access to the google/apple ID you could activate a find my device alert to go along with a text message. This would sound even if the device was on silent and do not disturb.

- Answer The clock has Google built in. All you need is a WiFi connection and download the free assistant app on your phone. The instructions should tell you how to do all that. After that you can add smart lights or other smart devices if you want.

- Answer Hi Laura! Yes, you can set the brightness level between 0 and 10 by swiping up on your clock. The Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant also has an “Auto Brightness” feature that utilizes an ambient light sensor to adjust your clock automatically. You can even say “Okay Google screen off” to turn off the screen completely. The screen will power back on when triggered.

- Answer If you need to reset your device, you can do so by long-pressing the volume up and down buttons at the same time, located at the top of your device. Hold for several seconds until it resets.

QuestionIs there a jack in the back to plug in headphones/ earbuds? I am old school and subscribe to the KISS method. Is there a back up battery in case of a power failure? I don't want to be late for work. If no to both of these please incorporate.

- Answer No there is no headphone jack but it does have a USB port to charge your phone, smartwatch, etc. But there is no backup battery
