Try turning off Bluetooth and disconnecting your mouse then try the touchpad. Sometimes an external mouse will interfere with the operation of the touchpad when the external mouse is connected. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had this happen while using Chrome. The pointer showed up everywhere else. Maybe this is what happened to you... I did a quick Google search, using it in tablet mode, and found a very easy solution. No problems since then.
