“Does your laptop make a noise? Sometimes after use my laptop will start to make a light squeal or high pitch noise, I can hear the fan come on sometimes as well but that is pretty quiet, so I am trying to figure out if this is a defect, any ideas?”

no, I haven't had this issue and no offense, I hope I don't. Have you tried using a spray can of Air to blow the dust out? Or, there is a way this laptop can clean it's own fan...read about it in Lenovo Companion.
