These ship with 1 bay used at 8GB and there is a second bay. Max memory for this model is 32GB. No you do not need to have it done by a Lenovo certified person. There are about 8 screws on the bottom and then gently remove the bottom cover by inserting an old credit card in the crack and gently un-snap the bottom case. It sounds hard, but is very easy. Just upgraded a friends to the full 32 GB with a 1 TB SSD.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The laptop comes with 2 memory card bays, unlike most 2 in 1 machines that come with either one bay or one soldered on memory and one bay. Depending on the unit you have, both bays may be occupied or one may be free.

The specifications for this model show 2 memory slots but don't list whether the 8GB of RAM the product ships with is 2 x 4GB or 1 x 8GB configuration. We recommend you check with your certified technician for your options.
