• Mine came with a portable DVD burner that plugs into the USB. Handy when you need a dvd drive and don't have to have it plugged in all the time.

• yes it has an EXTERNAL DVD drive very compact & fast laptop has NO provisions for a built in drive but plenty of room for internal hard drives

• It comes with a separate DVD optical type drive with a USB cable. I love the computer but the solid state hard drive is difficult to upgrade.
