• No help. I found the same thing and from research it seems the processor is under powered for even basic tasks. It is a shame as this is the perfect form factor for an ultra portable 2 in 1.

• It might because of the CPU throttling. If you are on battery, it won't go above .78 Ghz, which is almost unusable. Check it on the task manager. I have yet to find a solution. Even plugging it back in doesn't guarantee it will speed up. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

• check if your cpu speed is stuck at 0.49 ghz using task manager and go to performance. If it is do a bios update from lenovo, it its still doing that return the laptop, it garbage.

• None. They probably did that on purpose. IE and Windows are Microsoft products. If you want Chrome to work well, get an Android product or a Chromebook. :(
