In order to keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software. The Lenovo Yoga 7i 15, ships with a 30-day trial of McAfee Virus Protection Software installed. It will activate automatically with the initial activation of Windows Operating System and protect your computer for the 30-day trial period. You do not need to use McAfee VPS. You can uninstall McAfee and use the free Windows Defender VPS that comes with Windows 10 or you can uninstall McAfee and then install your choice of any compatible 3rd party VPS. The key is to uninstall McAfee if you will not be using it, as there can only be one active VPS on the computer at a time. Here is a link to a YouTube video that demonstrates how to setup your fingerprint reader within Windows OS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_ikyE5QMIg. The HD (720p) webcam within this Yoga 7i 15 is not setup for facial recognition biometric login. Once you have the fingerprint reader setup, here's a tip for making your fingerprint reader work every time: Try lightly sliding your finger over the fingerprint reader. No need to press hard on the reader, in fact pressing hard on the fingerprint reader will distort your fingerprint and cause read errors.
