Hi there, While this Yoga 7 has earned an MIL-STD-810 rating and features an aluminum chassis, it is not designed to withstand high velocity drops. For peace of mind and protecting your investment, we recommend considering an accidental protection plan option. This includes but is not limited to Best Buy's Total membership and Geek Squad Accidental Damage & Handling plan coverage. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I nudged it against my desk 5 minutes ago and it left a small dent on the hinge.

The worst I've had, out of three laptops, is drop one, while in its protective case, 4 feet to a concrete sidewalk. Even then, it only chipped a piece off--still works! Lenovo's advice is sound, considering the circumstances. You might also consider laptops such as the Panasonic Toughbook, Getac and Dell Rugged, which are made to take a lot of punishment. With their military-grade durability (MIL-STD), IP ratings (dust/water resistance), and magnesium alloy chassis, they can even take a directed blow from a hammer. Surprised you haven't heard of them before this.
