• Yes it is. I bought the 4GB and then Lenovo confirmed on Twitter that it is soldered (not removable) so returned the 4GB and got the 8GB model.

• All work on this device must be performed by a certified technician, so as to not void the warranty. The maximum RAM for this device is 16GB, so a certified technician can upgrade the existing RAM.
