• I just bought two of these one for me one for my daughter the discount was applied on both it does not matter the student the tech at Best Buy will walk you through it.

• A "student" must have an active .edu email address.

• I would consider a student to be any person either in high school or college since this is when they will be in most need of a laptop. An 11 year old child is still to young to really need a laptop in the first place.
