- Answer There is no ethernet port on this device. You can use a USB to ethernet adapter to connect to a ethernet cable.

QuestionRAM Q: Is the RAM in the BBY Lenovo yoga 720 upgradeable? I know that the mentioned 8GB is on-board (hence it's not), but is there an empty RAM slot for more RAM? A slightly different Lenovo 720 model allows the 8GB model to go to 16GB... per there site

- Answer There is 8GB soldered to the motherboard which is not user upgradable. But there is 1 empty slot that is hidden under rectangular metal lid that you can use it to install another 8GB (MAX 16GB), but you have to pick one with 2133MHz speed and this is SODIMM 260pin module.

- Answer Ive only had the Lenovo yoga for about a month now, but I can say I havent noticed any kind of fan noise that id consider out of the ordinary.

QuestionIs the BIOS locked down to stop Linux instal like the Lenovo Yoga 710 2-in1 Signature Edition? Is the SSD locked in a proprietary RAID-0 mode that Linux doesn't support? Can BIOS be set to AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) mode for the SSD?

- Answer I don't know if this answer will help, but I tried both Kubuntu and Ubuntu on it, and when I used Live CD to try them they worked fine and even the WIFI worked somehow. although when I installed Ubuntu, I could not configure the WIFI and there was no additional drivers that I could enable. Plus when I wanted to try the ones in the Live CD pools folder they did not work. I am pretty sure someone will find a way to make it work but I did not have USB to RJ45 adapter to get me connected to the internet so I stopped trying. I have no idea about the AHCI but I thought I can share my experience.

- Answer Yes, I get a black screen with only a half an inch line that works. It will work after a few minutes to up to half an hour. It is very annoying!

- Answer Hi so I have had my laptop for about 3 weeks and have just recently noticed that when I'm watching videos it wil glitch and a black line will show for about a second and it happens a couple times throughout the videos. What stinks is the fact that my 14 days are over so I can't go and bring it to Best Buy.

- Answer This configuration uses a 3.1/DP/Thunderbolt port. We show the transfer rate at a maximum of 40Gbps.

- Answer This unfortunately is a dual channel Thunderbolt 3 setup, so it will support 20Gbps. This will give slightly weaker performance if using it with an external GPU, and to date, will not allow you to run dual 4k displays. For just about everything else though, it shouldn't cause a big difference if any. Also note that the USB-C port does NOT support PowerDelivery, so you cannot charge the laptop via USB-C.

- Answer Yes you can upgrade the RAM. There is currently 1 single channel 8GB DDR4 memory stick, with space for a second stick. The max supported memory is 16GB so you could do 8+8. Lenovo's support line has not been totally clear about whether or not self-upgrades will void the warranty, so if you are going to do it, you should reach out to Lenovo support via their website and get written confirmation from a chat log. The SSD is also able to be upgraded, and I would think the same gray area regarding the warranty exists for that as well.

- Answer We recommend you check directly with Best Buy for pricing. There is a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 included as part of the Windows 10 operating system. In order to keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software.

- Answer No, none of the Yoga Series have a 10-key pad. You would need to look at the Lenovo IdeaPad Series 15.6" or larger for a 10-key pad.
