• Yes. Hold down the Fn Key and tap the Esc Key at the same time. This locks the Fn Key and now the HotKey Functionality of the F1-F12 keys will be secondary to the F1 through F12 functions of the keys. So to access the HotKey Functions you will now need to hold down the Fn Key then tap the appropriate HotKey to access the HotKey Functions.

• Yes, I was worried about this as well since I use the funtion keys for office work. There is a toggle in the lenovo software to switch the funtions key from f1-12 to media keys.
