Laptops aimed at the consumer market generally omit an Ethernet port. This allows for a lighter, thinner, and (slightly) cheaper machine. If you absolutely need a wired connection, you can one with a USB-to-Ethernet adapter, relatively inexpensive and available at most computer stores. Your other option is to shop for a unit that is aimed at businesses or at gamers, both of which will usually have this already built in.

no ethernet, but i use a usb ethernet adapter. i got an anker... it's more than the budget but i had a cheap one die on me.
