I was able to fix my fan noise by doing what it said on this site. In that link towards the top click on "Solved! see the solution" and it will take you to the main comment. Basically update BIOS, go into BIOS and choose "Quiet Mode" (this don't effect processing speeds), AND update WLAN driver. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-910-crazy-loud-fan-even-when-CPU-at-lt-35/m-p/3552229#M47982 BIOS v.35 can be downloaded here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/DS119202 latest WLAN driver, v. 12.0.0.278. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not the loud fan issue. Fan runs to release heat is normal and perfectly fine to me. My problem was the fan continuously running for more than 5 minutes until I stopped the Microsoft edge - a Microsoft browser. I wonder it's Microsoft's issue. I researched on the internet and found quite number of complains about Windows 10 caused fan running more for various brands. And this is why I started to download and use Google chrome to see if the problem goes away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the opportunity recently to test this model for two straight days in a working environment. The system was plugged in all day. I never heard the fan. We recommend you try the system yourself. See if the fan noise is a problem for you. Best Buy has a great 15 day return policy for undamaged merchandise, with your receipt.
