The Yoga 920-14 definitely has the computing power to handle the work you describe. The kind of work you describe requires multiple displays, you will need a Thunderbolt universal dock to add multiple displays to this device and provide additional ports for other peripherals, like a keyboard. This device does not have a 10-key numeric pad, so you will want to add a traditional keyboard with 10-keypad as well as possibly a mouse. The Yoga 920-14 architecture is made for power and mobility. With a Thunderbolt dock you can have one-wire connection to all your peripherals, then have extreme mobility and power with the Yoga 920-14 when you need to be on the move.

It's a quad core i7-8550 with an SSD but no graphics card. It ships with win10 home, so it is not being pitched at the commercial market. (Which reminds me I need to upgrade) RAM and SSD do not seem to be upgradable. Unless you want to but a custom model from Lenovo, you max out at 16GB. If you would otherwise need a Workstation, It's likely a bit under-spec'd. But I am so far very happy with it.
