- Answer You can't overclock the CPU on the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i - there's no unlocked "K" or "X" processor and no BIOS-level multiplier controls available.

- Answer Hi there, Due to variables in system configurations and settings, it is difficult to predetermine FPS with different in-game graphics settings. Based on user reviews that could be found for the Yoga Pro 9i with users that played games similar to Rainbow Six Siege, they experienced around 75 FPS on medium settings. Although the Yoga Pro 9i was not designed for gaming primarily, by adjusting settings like increasing system VRAM and setting the Yoga Pro to maximum performance mode when plugged in can boost performance for even smoother gameplay. - Answer Yes. Per rtings.com .... "Except for Power Delivery 3.0 support, the two USB-Cs have different specifications: the one closest to the HDMI port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfer speed (up to 10Gbps) and DisplayPort 1.4, while the other supports Thunderbolt 4 (up to 40Gbps) and DisplayPort 2.1. Lenovo advertises the HDMI port as an HDMI 2.1; however, it can only output a max resolution of 4k @ 60Hz. As such, we consider it an HDMI 2.0."

- Answer Surprisingly, rtings .com doesn't list 'how many local dimming zones' ! But they do note a 236 PPI for the 3.2K display, and: "The Mini LED panels have local dimming, which will result in significantly better black uniformity than the edge-lit IPS panels. However, because Mini LED displays don't have the pixel-level control that OLEDs do, you may see some blooming around bright objects in dark scenes."

- Answer According to rtings.com .... "The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i has an outstanding port selection. Both USB-As support USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer speed of up to 5Gbps. The only difference is that the one closest to the power button is always on, meaning you can use it to charge a mobile device even when the laptop is in sleep mode. Except for Power Delivery 3.0 support, the two USB-Cs have different specifications: the one closest to the HDMI port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfer speed (up to 10Gbps) and DisplayPort 1.4, while the other supports Thunderbolt 4 (up to 40Gbps) and DisplayPort 2.1. Lenovo advertises the HDMI port as an HDMI 2.1; however, it can only output a max resolution of 4k @ 60Hz. As such, we consider it an HDMI 2.0."

- Answer Hi, Juanesta. This is generally the case for most systems, including the Yoga Pro 9i. The only solution to rely solely off the dGPU would be to disable the iGPU.

QuestionIs the Yoga Pro 9i considered more of a productivity or a gaming computer? I see that it's price is $100 more than the Lenovo Legion 7i with a RTX 4070 graphics (#83FD0018US) which is considered a gaming notebook with a 2560 x 1600 IPS screen.

- Answer More of a productivity computer, but you can certainly run most games with the high refresh rate screen and the 100W dedicated GPU. The kicker for this notebook is that it is efficient and much more silent than the Lenovo Legion 7i. Unless you're running AAA games on max settings, this laptop should be more bang for your buck.

QuestionI know it claims to last about 5 hrs on a single charge. But how many real life hours does it last? Does anyone know? I will be using it mostly for general web browsing and discord as well as youtube. Mild gaming on occasion.

- Answer You will use 70-80% @ 4 hours, surfing the web only, with no sound or youtube. 5-6 hours is reasonable with display below 50% (not sure the nit level at half way 50%). Reference below: Models with Mini LED panel and discrete graphics: MobileMark® 2018@200nits: 6.4 hr Local video (1080p) playback@150nits: 9.5 hr https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/Yoga/Yoga_Pro_9_16IRP8/Yoga_Pro_9_16IRP8_Spec.pdf This has been confirmed; 4K120 works over TB on 16IMH9. USB-C is 4K60.
