Q: QuestionDoes this model remove mold from the air?

• A:Answer It uses a HEPA 13 filter, which does remove mold spores from the air. However, it's not rated for larger rooms, has a relatively small filter surface area, and isn't as powerful as more expensive options; as it is used in a moldy environment, it'll build up mold in the filter and more and more pollutants will get through. Mold needs to be addressed at the source, and until it is, a larger air purifier with a larger filter is likely advisable.

Q: QuestionCan I use a levoit humidifier across the room (10 feet) while the air purifier is on low setting, it the same time? Or do i need to set them on opposite schedules so as to not create mold in the filter? Do you have many advice, both functions are a priori

• A:Answer Please keep in mind that a humidifier's design is to increase the water particles (humidity) in the air and an air purifier's design is to remove airborne particles in the air. Trapped water particles may cause the filter to saturate quicker and possibly harbor mold/mildew buildup. If you would like to keep the two in the same room, we recommend running the two at different times or as far away as possible.

• A:Answer Aside from the PlasmaPro 200S, 400s, and 600S models (which has an optional plasma function), all Levoit air purifiers are ozone-free and do not produce ions. Please note that the PlasmaPro models also have ozone free versions on our website (Core 200S, 400S, & 600S). They work purely mechanically by drawing in air and filtering it through our 3-stage filtration system.
