“Steam between window This is the LG Microwave counter top LCS1114 Model I returned the first purchase, only to have the second one do the same thing. It takes hours to clear up. It's hard to see through the glass to check cooking status , I know it's normal for steam to exit side vent, and normal for steam to form on the inside glass, but have never seen steam form between glass. My main concern was that the seal was broke... Called customer service, told it was normal. Just want to be assured it's safe.”

I called LG support, and they said to return the defective item.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have the same issue with our microwave and at 1st it did concern us about the possibility of mold build up. We keep the door open for awhile when the door steams up and it clears up pretty quickly, less than 15 minutes. I would think that other than that the design is safe to use and no worries about it emitting microwaves. I do think that this microwave heats things up faster than or older one did and creates more steam when boiling water for example. So we have also reduced the time to boil water and create less steam that way.
