Dinner plates come in different sizes, but even so, the standard average sizes for dinner plates is generally 10" for the ones that are used in restaurants, 9 " are average home plate sizes and 7" are salad/appetizer sizes. Q: Does the light come on when the door opens?
A: Yes, and it stays on for few minutes then turns off automatically. You can turn off the light immediately by pressing the stop button one more time while the door is open.

A: The turn table is set low in the bottom of the microwave. The glass plate sits on top of 3 long pieces of plastic with small wheels on each plastic piece. There are no prongs that the plate sits on in the center, it just sits on top of the 3 wheels.
A: I called LG support, and they said to return the defective item.
