Hi there! Thank you for reaching out regarding the MVEM1721F. The touchpad should light up when you press any button. If it’s not lighting up, ensure that the unit is powered on and that there are no settings preventing the display from illuminating. Unfortunately, there isn’t a specific night mode for the display, but it’s designed to activate with touch.
