  • QuestionI just installed this microwave and the fan/blower is so loud. Is this normal for LG microwaves? It is considerably louder than the Whirlpool microwave we are replacing. I have the blower pointing for roof exhaust and it is loud. Is this how all LGs are?

    • Answer Ok, the answer was easier than I thought. I had installed the upper exhaust vent as the directions showed. I put in the little flap door, but did not bend the tab to allow for free open/close of that door. As a result, not enough air could escape, which caused the fan to blow even harder. We removed the microwave and tried it without the door and it was totally normal sounding (way quieter). Tossed that little door and installed back OTR and we are good to go.
