Ventilation is at the rear. There are 2 rear spacers included with the accessory kit inside the appliance. The spacers help improve the energy efficiency of the appliance by providing clearance between the back of the appliance and the wall. This allows for improved air circulation. Allow 29-1/8" in the front of the refrigerator to open the doors and at least 2" between the back of the refrigerator and the wall. ^Daphane
