If it's still under warranty, get it replaced. Mine was loud and stopped cooling after only 2 summers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, there. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the loud noises coming from your LG 1000 Sq. Ft. Window Air Conditioner. Excessive noise can be frustrating, especially when it affects your sleep. Here are a few suggestions to help make your unit quieter: - Ensure Proper Installation: Make sure the unit is securely installed in the window frame. Loose or improper installation can contribute to increased noise levels. - Check for Loose Parts: Inspect the unit for any loose components such as fan blades, vents, or panels. Tighten or secure them as necessary to minimize vibrations and noise. - Clean or Replace Filters: Clogged or dirty filters can restrict airflow, causing the unit to work harder and generate more noise. Regularly clean or replace the filters according to the manufacturer's instructions. Maintain Proper Ventilation: Ensure that the outdoor side of the unit is clear of obstructions such as debris, leaves, or shrubs. Proper airflow around the unit can help reduce noise levels. - Consider Soundproofing: If the noise persists, you may consider using soundproofing materials such as foam insulation strips or acoustic panels around the unit to help dampen the sound. If these steps do not alleviate the noise issue, we recommend contacting us by sending a private message our customer support team at: Twitter: https://twitter.com/lgussupport?lang=en or Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LGUSSupport/ for further assistance. They will be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or schedule a service visit if needed. Our goal is to ensure your comfort and satisfaction with your LG Window Air Conditioner. ^Danee 2:08
