• Yes. It came with a program called CyberLink PowerDVD software and will play both dvd and bluray formats, as well as a CyberLink Media Suite package. Hope this helps?

• If you have windows it doe including some programs. if you don't have windows and you have mac you should get VLC it's the best free software for watching any media.
