• The LMHM2017ST has the controls on the bottom, the LMH2016ST has the controls on the right, besides that, the two are very similar in their features. The LMH2016ST has 5-stars in review ratings on LG.com (139 reviews).

• Don't buy the 2017 because the controls in the door get abused too much every time you open/close the door. LG will only cover this for one year, even the replacement door you will have to eventually buy.
