I have a dish remote,, not spectrum,, but the remote operated the volume control without programming.

If it is a learning remote or universal remote that can be taught or programmed to control devices from other brands or manufacturers, you may be able to use it to control the volume on the LG 2.1ch 300W Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer and Bluetooth® Connectivity, Model # SK4D.
