“It says you can integrate optional surround speakers with this soundbar? Wouldn’t you need to buy a 5.1 system to make this work? Or does this have capability to separate the channels and you can add speakers as you go? I purchased the LG OLED65C7P”

The previous model of the surround speakers - Model: SPJ4-S - will also work with this. I bought an open box for $25.99 and is working like a charm.

I bought this from Best Buy: LG - Powered Wireless Rear Channel Speakers (Pair) - works with select LG soundbars - Black Model: SPK8-S After a few days, I felt I needed the rear speakers, and the sound bar wasn't enough. The rear channel speakers are easy to install. Plug them in and your sound bar will instantly recognize them.
