Hi Becky. We regret to read about the loud popping that the Subwoofer on your LG - 2.1-Channel Hi-Res Audio Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer - Black, Model # SK8Y is making and apologize for any inconveniences. Unfortunately, there is no way to determine if there is an easy fix for this without inspecting the unit to determine what the cause is. The simplest thing you could try is to power cycle the Soundbar to see if that resolves the issue. Pressing and holding the power button on the unit for about 30 seconds then letting go and plugging the unit back in will power cycle it. If that does not resolve the issue, the unit will require a repair service...^IFV
