“What does it mean when you save it this product defrost itself? I'm concerned because one of the reviews says that things ice up in the freezer”

• The unit has an automatic defrost cycle. During the defrost cycle, you may notice that the unit is not cooling. The cycle last for approximately 30 minutes. It is normal for water to drip into the defrost pan. Water in the drain pan will evaporate. ^Daphane

• This product is very good and quiet. I did not pay attention much about top freezer, it works well as I tried one time. I never try to defrost it. Regarding automatic defrost, I have no definite answer. Good luck
