QuestionWhat else can we do to improve the taste of the water from the dispenser? There is a chemical taste and we have purged the line as instructed several times. The ice doesn't have the same taste, so I assume it is not a water or filter problem.

- Answer Ours did the same thing. We could not drink the water. As a last stitch effort we changer the water line hookup and it was fixed! Not sure what was wrong with it since it was new and didn’t really think it would work since changing the filter didn’t work but it did.

QuestionThere is mention of a water filter. Is the ice also filtered? Do replacement filters have to be lg?

- Answer Yes from the dispenser the water and ice are filtered. Recommended replacement filters are LT1000P, LT1000PC or LT1000PCS. ^Daphane

- Answer I've had the issue & it's the beginning of the end for that ice maker. Call for service & they will replace it. According to repairman the craft ice makers break all the time & they just keep replacing them!

QuestionWe have had to replace the craft ice maker 2X since we purchased this refrigerator in February 22. Same issue both times as the Craft ice balls do not release. I've been told it is a common problem on these units. Is there a fix for this issue?

- Answer per Best Buy Geek Squad technician who came to repair our LG side by side refrigerator freezer the craft ice maker breaks down often. Tech replaced the whole unit. Extra warranty protection is worth it as they do not make appliances how they used to :(

QuestionI will be installing his appliance with a wall to the right side of it; if you are standing in front of it. How much filler space will I need to have to the right in order for door to open and not hit wall? Lets say 90 to 110 degrees?

QuestionWhat is the difference between LRMVC2306S versus this, LRMDC2306S? Is this an updated version of the "VC" model? Has there been any changes to the doors at all between the two models? (LG's left ice/water door tends to slam pretty hard when closing.)

- Answer Due to inflation, LG wanted to take advantgage of the oportunity to price adjust and therefore, with no intent of lowering the price in the future, they raisded the price by changing the model number. There are no differences at all except pricing and that you are being price gouged by the manufacturer. And since congress is going red, your consumer protections... I'm sorry, elitest handout... will be stripped shortly as well. Welcome to the new USA!
