Depends on your definition of resistant. If you do not want to see fingerprints then no, it is NOT. If you don't mind them and just want them to be easier to wipe off, then yes. Put it this way, we bought the stainless steel fingerprint resistant and were not happy with it because it shows fingerprints. When we pointed this out, we were told fingerprint resistant is not the same as fingerprint proof. The salesperson used the example of something being water resistant vs. water proof. Bottom line is if you want something truly fingerprint resistant, I don't think it exists in regular stainless steel so you will need to choose the slate stainless or black stainless.
