I too have had this problem and despite precise leveling, it continues. Apparently now it’s coming out that the door stop was omitted, and frankly, I believe the manufacturer should pay to have this remedied for those who bought one. Also, the engineering is poor - the left door weight plus the spacing of door shelves encouraging storage of bigger/heavier items, even with the door stop, will not entirely solve the problem. This is officially a lemon in my book
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same issue with my new LG fridge. I noticed that the left door does not have a "Door Stopper" as the one on the right door.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Us too. After spending some hours researching this and buying a few incorrect parts that I thought were the missing door stopper, I have come to realize that is not a part LG forgot to attach (as some internet opinions say) but a poor design that simply did not include a stopper on the left door as on the right. Unless LG retrofits a part and provides to those who purchased these, everyone will just need to get used to the slamming and bottles falling over daily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ours does also. Don’t know if it’s normal or not
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Another slamming door, purchased in 2023. 24cu’ counter depth refrigerator. Left door slams so hard it’ll throw bottles off the door shelf. Came BRAND NEW like this. First service repair said it’s a design flaw, known issue. 2&3rd repair reps said leveling is off, & they’re unable to get it leveled. Total BS. LG needs to replace or repair!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Our does too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ours too, we bought our less than three months ago and it's the most aggravating problem with this refrigerator! It's leveled and doors are aligned properly. You cannot tilt it more forward, because then the right door won't close. Has to be some way for LG to fix or compensate for the daily aggravation this refrigerator imposes on everyone who purchased it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just got off the phone with the LG customer service representative. Actually yesterday and today. The first told me to check the level. I checked it in the front and side for plum and top for level. All were perfect. The second tech tried to tell me it was a leveling issue. I told her I checked plum and level three times. And some in different places. All were perfect. She then told me not to push the door closed. It had a self closing door. I went out while she was still on the phone and opened the door. It didn’t close in its own. I told her so. I then said that apparently, my door hinge and spring is broken. On a subsequent phone call she stated that the hard closing was normal. I asked her if the door breaks in a year if LG was going to fix it. She said yes. We are also having an issue with the icemaker creaking. Like something is not lubed when the ice cube displacer is operating. Not happy with LG. I will never by and LG or Samsung appliance again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We hate to see you are having trouble with the way the door closes on your refrigerator. The first thing to check would be the leveling of your refrigerator. Ensuring the unit is level will aid in the ability to close the door.
