“Question Concerning Depth The place for my refrigerator is tight on space. The manual indicates that 2" in the back is needed for air circulation: "Too small of a distance from adjacent items may result in lower freezing capability and increased electricity charges." In the Specs it states "Installation Clearances" of Sides 1/8", Top 1", Back 1" . Is the 2 inches ideal for Energy Efficiency and the 1 inch the Minimum Required? I have 1/8 of an inch on the sides. The top has 8 inches of clearance. Can I get away with 1 inch in the back? Would it help to remove some of my drywall or drill holes behind the refrigerator for extra ventilation? I don't care what the back wall looks like since it is not visible.”
