“What coating is on the racks? I am replacing my old dishwasher because the coating on the two racks got torn just a little and it was not long before they both rusted out. Are they stainless or do they have coating that is less likely to tear?”

It seems like the racks are painted with a metallic type coating. I've only had the dishwasher a few months, so it's too early to judge on whether it will be a problem. It looks sturdy to me.
