• Either option works. Ours is hardwired but also can be plugged into standard receptacle.

• You can do either. You will need to install the plug, i believe it came with one. We hardwired ours.

• This unit does not have a plug on it and it has to be connected to a dedicated, properly grounded branch circuit which is protected by a time delay fuse.
