QuestionI just bought this fridge and was wondering if the DoorCooling+ function works. When you open the fridge door with it plugged in, does cold air come out of the DoorCooling+ vents? I don’t feel any cool air on mine.

QuestionHow do I know when it has reached the temperature it is set for?

- Answer I would strongly recommend thermometers. This is our second fridge. The first had to be set at 33 to get the box to 40. The freezer to -2 to get it to zero. The new fridge has to be set to 35 and it has taken two weeks to see uniform temps at around 36-37. Thermometers are an inexpensive investment but be sure to get several to check accuracy between them. I have five from three different manufacturers.

QuestionI do not want to hook up the ice maker or connect to a water line. Are there specific things that need to be done to disable these functions upon delivery? I don’t want to experience product alarms because of a lack of connection. Thank you.

- Answer I didn't get the hook up. Just turn the icemaker off when it's installed. That's it. Mine came with a filter but I just put it up.

QuestionMy new refrigerator of 6 months is making a sound every hour on the hour as if it is trying to fill an ice maker. The upper door ice maker is doing fine, however the lower ice maker that makes the golf ball-shaped ice has stopped producing. Any idea why?

- Answer Sounds as if the icemaker is trying to dump ice but is prevented from doing so. When the ice reaches a certain level in the bin, a control arm will prevent the ice from dropping, but you will hear it attempt to do so. Or, there is some other obstruction. Make sure the ice bin is seated correctly.

- Answer The maker will automatically stop producing ice if the ice bin is completely filled with ice. There is a feeler arm also to detect when the bin is full. ^Daphane
